These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Neat ("Neat," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Neat mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Neat, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You must be 21 years of age or older to use Neat. Neat is a whiskey discovery application and is intended solely for adults of legal drinking age in the United States. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 21 years old.
If we determine that you are under 21, we reserve the right to immediately terminate your account and delete all associated data without notice.

To use most features of Neat, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

Neat is currently available as a free app. We may introduce optional paid subscription features in the future (such as a "Blender" premium tier). If and when paid features are introduced, we will clearly describe what is included in each tier, what remains free, and the applicable pricing before any charges are made. You will never be automatically enrolled in a paid subscription without your explicit consent.
All purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to the respective platform's billing terms and refund policies.
You agree to use Neat only for its intended purpose — personal whiskey discovery and collection management. You agree not to:
All content, features, and functionality of Neat — including but not limited to the app design, flavor fingerprint methodology, recommendation engine, bottle database, text, and graphics — are the exclusive property of Neat and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your personal data (tasting notes, collection contents, quiz responses) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely for the purpose of operating the Service on your behalf.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
Neat is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Whiskey recommendations are generated algorithmically based on your stated preferences and are not guarantees of personal satisfaction.
Neat does not endorse or have any affiliation with any distillery, brand, or retailer whose products appear in the app. Prices shown are approximate and may vary by location and retailer.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Neat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $0 if you have not paid anything).
Neat is a discovery and organizational tool. We do not sell, distribute, or facilitate the purchase of alcohol. Nothing in the app constitutes encouragement to drink irresponsibly. Always drink in moderation and in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction. Do not drink and drive.
Neat integrates with third-party services including Supabase (data storage), Google (Sign-In), and Firebase (analytics and crash reporting). Your use of these integrations is also subject to those services' respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
You may stop using Neat at any time. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at samuel.frederick.johnson@gmail.com. An in-app account deletion option is coming in a future update.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Neat at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or that your continued access poses a risk to other users or our systems.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of Neat after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
